QR codes can quickly propel your class into a virtual environment. QR (Quick Response) codes allow users to scan a small “bar code” that can take them to a website, video, image, text message, email or many other various digital formats through their handheld device.

Events such as open house are a great opportunity to make QR codes of digital presentations your students have been working on throughout the year. Post them around your class and have parents scan them as they enter to view student work directly on their devices. You can create interactive bulletin boards with students discussing their poster projects through videos in the QR code. The possibilities are endless and your are really only limited to what your mind can come up with.

I’ve included a simple demonstration video on how to quickly make a QR code with the website QRstuff.com
